Montgomery Playhouse in partnership with the City of Gaithersburg is proud to announce auditions for Mr. Burns, A Post-Electric Play that will be performed at the Arts Barn in Gaithersburg, MD January 14th to 23rd, 2022!

After the collapse of civilization, a group of survivors share a campfire and begin to piece together the plot of “The Simpsons” episode “Cape Feare” entirely from memory. 7 years later, this and other snippets of pop culture (sitcom plots, commercials, jingles, and pop songs) have become the live entertainment of a post-apocalyptic society, sincerely trying to hold onto its past. 75 years later, these are the myths and legends from which new forms of performance are created.

Auditions will be sides from the script and 30 seconds of any song sung A Capella to show your personality. Please bring resume/headshot or experience with you and be prepared to give all known conflicts. The auditions will be held as follows:

Saturday, October 23rd 1-4pm. At Arts Barn Carriage House.
Tuesday, October 26th 7-10pm at Arts Barn Theatre, 311 Kent Square, Gaithersburg, MD.
